Gorgeous pub, lovely food and lovely staff!
This was such a great surprise. We're staying up the road and to have such a great pub on our doorstep really makes the trip. The staff were fantastic, super helpful and attentive. Our pup even got some dog treats from behind the bar. Highly recommended. Special mention to the chap running the place, keep up the good work.
Arranged a 70th birthday party here for my Dad. Darrell and the team could not have been more friendly or accommodating with helping to organise a really enjoyable meal and event, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone who came really enjoyed themselves and said how much they had liked the food and drink which I thought was excellent and great value for money. We had exclusive use of the garden room which was a great size for 25 people with easy access to the lovely beer garden outside. Service was top notch and the staff were really excellent. I can't wait to return.
Food 1st class! Service 1st class! And you can outside by the river with the baby ducks. Lovely afternoon.
Had a nice meal. Lovely place sat against the canal
I can't recommend the plough enough! Really friendly, welcoming staff, a great selection of drinks and the most delicious food. Our Sunday lunch was absolutely perfect.
Absolutely fantastic Riverside pub! Myself and 2 friends visited for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and had a superb time. The food was excellent and the portions with the sharing sides were very generous. The wait staff were very polite and helpful! I shall be returning. Note: due to covid the doors/windows are open so of you don't want to sit in your coat I would recommend taking a jumper!
Stopped in for lunch with my wife and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The setting by the river is stunning, calm and scenic, perfect for a relaxing meal. What really impressed me was how the staff handled my dietary needs. I’m currently managing a colitis flare-up, and not only were they understanding, but the chef went completely off menu to create something that worked, and it was absolutely spot on. Friendly service, thoughtful kitchen, beautiful location. I couldn’t recommend this place more.
